THE NEW 2020 SAN DIEGO CHARTER BOAT LINEUP

They say that in every storm cloud, there is a silver lining. Well, it was hard to find it in this storm cloud, but there is indeed a silver lining. The fish are "unpressured", and on the last day before the sport fishing ban went into effect, one of our Captain's went out to check on the fish. There are massive amounts of bluefin just south west of "The Corner". There are also verified reports of giant schools of Yellowfin and Yellowtail down by Todos Santos.

All the offshore favorite spots are light up right now with bluefin, just head south.

I predict that within a month the majority of Tuna and other pelagic fish will have crossed the border into US waters, and by then perhaps, the fishing ban will have been lifted.

When the season does reopen, there is going to be a great opportunity for those that prepare now. One way to make a plan is to pick a boat and a day, far off in the future, and plan to go fishing. Maybe, just maybe, this small act of defiance in the face of the virus, will give your spirts a lift. To make things fair, we will be offering steep discounts, special refund policies, and low/no deposit reservations. Having side scan sonar is a game changer. What it means is that you can not only see fish below you, but to the sides of you as well. This gives you an unfair advantage when sport fishing. You can check kelp patties for fish just by driving by them. The other advantage of this vessel is lots of bait. The huge bait tanks will keep enough bait alive for even the longest multiday trips, and allow you to unload bait on top of the fish when you find them. KRAKEN

DEADEYE

Also known as a "Pilothouse" because of the cabin which contains the cockpit and 3 bunks for sleeping on longer trips. It has a massive fishing platform with a 150 gallon bait tank. And a in-deck slammer for maximum storage of fish which means we keep the fish at a freezing temperature of 32 degrees under the deck for a bigger platform to walk. Lastly, our boat is equipped with a stainless steel tuna tower which the captain drives from and the ideal place to look for our next opportunity at fish.

NEXUS

Make/Model/Highlights: 24' Davis Cuddy.

Features: A single Yanmar Diesel propels this four pack fishing machine to a top speed of 32 knots and provides a range of up to 200 miles! Full walkaround layout gives the most amount of room, while still having a small cabin to retreat to if you need it.

Amenities: Tuna Tower, Outriggers, huge array of fishing tackle including Kite fishing equipment, and helium ballon fishing.  Least expensive price of the whole fleet insures that you cant resist taking advantage of this low priced alternative to crowded boats!


This vessel features a big punch in a fast cruising package, with average cruising speeds in excess of 20 knots. This means you will be on the fishing grounds in no time. With outriggers and a tuna tower, you can also chase the big fish. When you catch them there is large built in fish holds to keep your catch on ice.

Equipped with 2 full scoops bait tank, sonar, chart plotter, salt water wash down, and full compliment of gear and tackle, this vessel is prepared to take up to four passengers (4 pack) as far south as the Mexican border, out to the nine mile bank for tuna, or to La Jolla for yellowtail!
